Purple Is Powerful: The first three experiments Lilo gets to fight Ploot all happen to be strong, purple-bodied experiments. Subverted in that they're not strong enough to defeat the giant Ploot. When Gantu notices Cannonball passing by, he says, "Just follow the bouncing abomination." This is a reference to the bouncing ball seen in sing-along videos in which viewers follow an animated ball that bounces across the top of the lyrics, landing on each syllable when it is to be sung. Moral: Dealing with death and loss is very tough to do on your own, so it's important to face reality with the help and support of loved ones.
