Completing the disc is Pop gold from The Bangles, Kim Wilde, Matthew Wilder, and finishing with the epic ‘If I Could Turn Back Time’ from Cher. Pure party fun tracks including ‘Can Can’, ‘The Birdie Song’ and ‘Star Trekkin’ lead the way to a trio of iconic 80’s movie themes… ‘Ghostbusters’ from Ray Parker Jr. It kicks off our second disc, followed by seminal dance hits in their full extended versions from Bomb The Bass, Coldcut feat.

Disc Two pays tribute to the 80s dancefloor classics that fused genres to create breath-taking originality and new styles – often reflecting changes in new technology and capturing the fashion of the era. produced a timeless hit with ‘Funkytown’, and Shalamar with ‘A Night To Remember’, Odyssey with ‘Use It Up And Wear It Out’ and Indeep’s ‘Last Night A DJ Saved My Life’ were all huge commercial Disco hits. Devotion and in 1984 remixed Sister Sledge’s ‘Lost In Music’ which became a massive hit again and is included here in its full 12” version.

The disc closes with Culture Club’s US remix of ‘I’ll Tumble 4 Ya’, and the classic pop of ‘The Heat Is On’, the debut solo hit in the UK for Agnetha Fältskog. Deniece Williams ‘Lets Hear It For The Boy’ from ‘Footloose’, and the aptly titled ‘(I’ve had) The Time Of My Life from ‘Dirty Dancing’. The era saw some of the genres’ biggest hits including this collections’ opener ‘Flashdance…What A Feeling’ from Irene Cara – this theme from the film ‘Flashdance’ was not only a massive selling single, but the song also won multiple awards including an Academy Award. I don't find that it detracts from enjoying the CD particularly if you were a teenager during the 80's as it really takes you back. S. hits respectively – Whilst some were big hits on both sides of the Atlantic, we shine a spotlight on huge hits from America at the time, that have gone on to be as legendary in the UK as they were in the US.The best in Hi-NRG and pop-dance is celebrated on disc 3, with Boys Town Gang, Divine, Hazell Dean, Dollar and Bucks Fizz. Disc 3 gets underway with the huge collaboration from Meat Loaf with Cher on ‘Dead Ringer For Love’ and some serious partying with ‘(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right’ from The Beastie Boys.
