Leftfield (originally comprised of Neil Barnes and Paul Daley), have been at the cutting edge of dance music since the 1990s, releasing albums that have become some of the most influential electronic records of all time around the world with their debut LP 'Leftism' being widely regarded as one of the most boundary-pushing electronic LPs ever released. This Is What We Do’ is a studio album from the legendary Leftfield, the first since 2015’s ‘Alternative Light Source’ and just their fourth in their three-decade career. The first album in 7 years from seminal electronic music pioneers and twice Mercury Prize Nominated, Leftfield.

I honestly think this is their best work since the debut, full of spacy atmosphere and dubby deliciousness. To be quite honest, I wasn't too blown away with the original version of This Is What We Do, but this remix album, on the other hand, is, surprisingly, one of my absolute favorite releases from Leftfield - a smooth, deep and blissed-out trip which I enjoy from start to finish.Barry Harris, Bob Cranshaw, and Billy Higgins are all in good form throughout the album as well, and the group works together seamlessly to create an album that crackles with energy while maintaining a stylish flow. In 2010, Neil Barnes reignited the Leftfield name, and went on to release an acclaimed album ( Alternative Light Source) touring the world with the full live band. This Is What We Do is full of the stature you expect, with lead-heavy beats and snarling bass underpinning a treasure trove of hooks. Henderson makes a major contribution to the album, especially on Totem Pole, where his solos showed off his singular style, threatening to upstage Morgan, who is also fairly impressive here.
